Take the case of the Storekeepers, Messrs Smith & Brinehow, on the South side of the Queen's Road. How can it possibly injure them, to have provided for them a greater facility of access to the sea, and of shipping and landing goods on the seaboard?
So I think that the proposed Praya is deficient in one particular, as planned. It might be extended so as to enable large Steamers to lie alongside, and Vessels to lie so far that passengers and goods may pass to and fro without being, in all cases, subject to the use of boats.
I have no further statements or suggestions to offer.
